After spending a few decades in his homeland under his sire's watchful gaze, it became obvious to Hugh that he would have to move along. People that he knew were getting on in years and his youthful vigour was becomming obvious. Before the whispers turned to outright dread and eventually some sort of a hunt, Hugh moved on and became quite the Vagabond.
But, why settle in Bremen? Hugh has lately experienced some sort of drive to have something and somewhere to call his own. Perhaps it is a nesting instinct taking hold of him, perhaps he just got tired of the road. It is more complex than he can put into words, and as long as Bremen offers excitement, he can keep his mind off of the reasons, and enjoy the reality of the life he's chosen for himself.
